College Lesson #13: You Don’t Need Alcohol or Drugs

You don’t need drugs and/or alcohol to have a good night-just wait until you’re tired enough it’ll be just as fun (I already knew this, but I wanted to share, as I feel this is important to know for college). 😀

My friends and I have watched a movie, or two, every night this week. Needless to say, by Saturday night we were all a little exhausted.

Last night, after watching two movies (apparently we have nothing better to do, but ya know, it’s cool), we played Apples to Apples (for all of you who have never played, you basically flip a card with an adjective on it and all but one person looks at their cards, which have nouns on them, and picks one to go with aforementioned adjective; it’s a great game to play when you’re tired, as everything is about a zillion times funnier when you are half asleep) until almost 1 in the morning. It was a blast. We had popcorn and cookies and waters and learned all kinds of new things about each other (this game is all about playing to your audience, so you learn what makes other people tick).

You have to keep in mind that my friends are a tad nerdy (mostly in a good way). We sat for a good two hours playing this card game. We laughed basically the whole time. We didn’t need to spend any money or do anything illegal. We spent a solid five hours together, five college freshmen having good, clean fun.

So, to all the college kids reading, it is possible to have fun without spending a ton of money or getting into massive amounts of trouble. 🙂

    1. Ohmygoodness! We totally played it. It was a blast but we were all a little tired and the creativity thing was not happening. We’re gonna try again another night when we’re not so tired. 🙂

      1. Oh yes – I can see how being tired can make it hard! But it’s so fun. We played it once at a family Thanksgiving when I was in college with about 15 relatives and I don’t think I’ve ever laughed as hard. 🙂
