Today my roommate got the software she ordered and since I had already gone through it we figured it would be a piece of cake. I told her what to do, which basically meant use customer service to get the verification code because our school isn’t on the list. So she did that and the guy gave her a verification code that didn’t work and told her to call Microsoft. So she did and they told her to call the company from which she purchase the software because there was something wrong with the account. She did that. The company told her that she needed to prove enrollment, which I never did. Finally she went back to Microsoft. (We laughed because it was possible that she would get the same guy she had already talked to, she didn’t.) This new guy did help her. Turns out the first guy must have just been giving her the wrong code as the new one worked the first time.
Lesson learned: you need to be pacient with customer service reps.
